Payment Gateway Exchanges configuration

How exchange configuration utilized within payment gateway configuration.

The configuration of your payment gateway is intricately linked to the exchange settings, which dictate the currency rules for all payments processed through that gateway. Properly configuring these settings ensures that transactions are handled according to your desired currency preferences.

Follow these two simple steps to set up an exchange configuration:

1- Add Exchange Configuration

Navigate to the Exchanges Config tab within the Currency section. Then, click on the Add Exchange Config button to begin.

2- Fill in the Required Information

Enter all necessary details, such as the currencies involved and any specific rules or markup fees. Once all the information is provided, click on Save to finalize the configuration.

Description

Name

This field is used to identify the new instance of the exchange configuration being added.

Default currency

The default currency of the payment gateway.

Currencies

These are the payment currencies that the merchant wants to deal with.

Fee type

There are two types of fees, Fixed fees and Percent fees.

Fix fee: A predetermined amount that is added to the payment.

Percent fee: An additional amount calculated based on a percentage of the payment.

Identification of the fee according to the merchant’s purposes

Work as

The exchange rate can be determined in two ways: Online or Local.

Online: Utilizing online services to define the exchange rate.

Local: Allows the merchant to manually define the exchange rate.

When this event is activated, a fee will be added to the original amount, even if the payment transaction is conducted in the default currency of the payment gateway.
