This feature streamlines the process of notifying the customer for pre- / post-payment state via WhatsApp without any manual intervention.
Customer Phone Number: The customer's phone number should be provided during the transaction creation phase. To add the customer phone number, please refer to the section.
WhatsApp Business Account and Template Approval: The merchant must have a WhatsApp Business account. Additionally, all templates and their content must be approved by Meta/WhatsApp before they can be used.
WhatsApp Integration Authenticator: It acts as the link between WhatsApp and Ottu. Hereunder the steps of Adding WhatsApp provider:
Access the Ottu Administration Panel by clicking the three dots in the top right corner of the Ottu dashboard.
In the Administration Panel, navigate to the WhatsApp section.
Select WhatsApp Auth Config.
Click on Add WhatsApp Auth Config.
Proceed with configuring and adding a new WhatsApp Integration Authenticator.
WhatsApp Template Configuration: For the Integrated WhatsApp Channel, templates are created on the WhatsApp server. These templates should be linked via to Ottu using two fields: and , which are configured in the For more information about how to configure Integrated WhatsApp Channel, please check section.
Enabling WhatsApp Templates: WhatsApp templates can be enabled during the payment transaction creation process by selecting the checkbox designated for enabling WhatsApp templates. Templates can be enabled either before or after the payment, depending on the requirement.
Ottu sends WhatsApp notifications to customers at key stages of the payment process, ensuring timely updates on important transaction states.
WhatsApp notifications are triggered by the following payment states:
created
paid
authorized
canceled
failed
expired

Merchants proceed with the configuration process through . Several fields need to be filled out to complete the configuration of the Integrated WhatsApp Channel.
