Units section overview

Generally, through Unit Configuration, merchants gain control over the information presented to customers, including details about the site, contact information, social media accounts, and other crucial details.

From the perspective of the checkout page, the Unit Configuration specifically influences fields that form the From section. This section provides detailed information about the merchant to the user, including Name or title, Merchant Email, and Merchant Phone.

Adding a New Unit To add a new unit, follow these steps:

Step 1: Navigate to Ottu Dashboard > Administration Panel > Unit > Units

Step 2: Click on 'Add Unit'

Step 3: Fill in the following details and click Save:

• Is Active?:

  Indicates if this unit is active and visible on the site.

• Name or Title:

  The name that appears in the status bar, emails, templates, etc. (Displayed in the From section)

• Name or Title [ar]:

  Name or title in Arabic. (Displayed in the From section)

• Slug:

  A unique identifier used in URLs and bulk operations.

• Subheader:

  A secondary heading below the main header for additional context.

• Show Unit Title:

  Toggle to display the unit title.

• Website URL:

  The merchant's website URL.

• URL Shortener:

  Select the method to shorten URLs (See URL Shortener Configuration).

• Merchant Email:

  Email address of the merchant. (Displayed in the From section)

• Merchant Phone:

  Phone number of the merchant. (Displayed in the From section)

• Logo:

  Upload a business logo.

• Favicon:

  Upload a favicon, typically displayed in the browser's address bar and other areas.

• Facebook URL:

  The web address of the merchant's Facebook page.

• Twitter URL:

  The web address linked to the merchant's Twitter page.

• Instagram URL:

  The web address of the merchant's Instagram page.

• Address:

  Includes street address, city, state or region, postal code, and country.

  
• Reply to Email Address:

  The email address for receiving replies.

• Header Color:

  Customize the color of the webpage or document header.
