Merchant Accounts

Where all the merchant’s accounts connected to the source are listed and managed. Each merchant account represents the link between a merchant and a specific Source (such as a bank or wallet). This connection allows the merchant to initiate payouts through Ottu.

Think of a merchant account as the merchant’s profile inside Ottu that defines which source is used for payouts.

Connection

They link the merchant directly to a Source (bank or wallet).

Separation

A merchant can have multiple accounts connected to different sources

Control

You can decide which merchant account should be used for a particular payout


Creating a Merchant Account

  1. Go to Setup → Merchant Accounts → Create Merchant Account

  2. Fill in the fields:

Description

Name

The business account name (e.g., “Marketplace – KSA”)

Source

Select the bank/wallet source linked to this merchant account

Status

Active (payouts allowed) or Inactive (disabled)

  1. Save the merchant account.


Example

  • Name: “Ottu Marketplace – Main Account”

  • Source: Kuwait Bank – Main

  • Status: Active

This merchant account can now be used to create Payout Intents and manage payouts to beneficiaries.
