# Executions

An **Execution** is the final step in the payout process. Once an intent has been approved and passed through any required [workflows](https://sandbox-doc.gitbook.io/ottu-team-sandbox-doc/user-guide/payout/payout-management/workflows), it is executed — meaning the actual transfer of money to the [beneficiary](https://sandbox-doc.gitbook.io/ottu-team-sandbox-doc/user-guide/payout/payout-management/beneficiaries) takes place.

> Executions give you full visibility and control over every payout, including monitoring, retrying, or canceling transactions.

### [**Execution Overview**](#execution-overview)

The **Executions** area under **Payouts** provides full visibility and control over payout processing, from initial intent creation to final execution status.\
It is organized into three tabs: [**Intents**](#intents), [**Intent Groups**](#intent-groups), and [**Executions**](#executions), each serving a distinct purpose in the payout lifecycle.
